Hello!

As you've probably guessed, my name is Beth Thompson and I really love to design websites. I've actually done a lot of different types of marketing work in my career and I love it all.

Here's a brief summary:

I've always had the desire to own my own business. Even at age 9 or 10, my brother and I would pick all the vegetables from my mom's garden and sell them at the roadside (she wasn't thrilled about that...). Somehow in high school I decided to go a more traditional route and ended up in college and then, four years later at Raymond James Financial. Yep, in the corporate world...even now I wonder why the heck I did that. I stayed there for almost 17 years. While I was there I learned a ton and for the most part I liked it a lot. But I never stopped thinking about owning my own business.

One Friday night a friend and co-worker and I were sitting at the office working and we started discussing our desire to be entrepreneurs. He told me about a product that he had invented, one thing led to another and we created Right Brain Ideas, Inc. The principal product of RBI was The MouseMask Computer Mouse Cover, a flexible, comfortable and fun cover for your computer mouse. On to a private placement to raise money for the business, trademarks, patents, then collegiate licensing (we got them in about 250 colleges across the US), the Dilbert license, MLB, NHL, getting the covers in Walmart, adding new products, trade show stories that would have you rolling on the floor laughing. We had a ball!  The amount of knowledge I gained from being a part of this business was astounding.

Too bad we didn't make much money! In the end, Melanie had a full time job already and Chuck had a family to support and so he went back to corporate America. I thought about it...many times...but I just could not bring myself to do it. I loved having my own schedule and the act of being responsible for my own destiny was pushing me further and further and further out on my own. But by far the biggest push came from creating things out of thin air that people would buy. And then watching what I built help people achieve their dreams. What could be better?

I've had my own business since May 2000. I don't think about retiring, I think about building things bigger so I can help more people. The reason I built this website is because 99.9% of my business comes from referrals. (I'm super proud of that) But I want to help more people build their businesses and maybe I don't know you...yet! So, let's talk. I've got ideas and I've got a passion for putting them to work for you!
